ability to page someone on ZBP

I don't know the system we use for zbp well enough to know if this would be viable, but it'd be useful if you could page someone. Say user x is in a conference or something, and you wanted to send a message asking them to meet you in another conference, or just pass along a short message. That or tie it into the voicemail system letting someone know they have a voicemail when they receive it. AS I understand it people only get alerted to a voicemail when they first log in. Thoughts?

i've actually thought about this, just didn't get around to posting the idea or anything ...I think it's a cool idea

I mentioned it to Chris back over the summer actually, and either he forgot, or hasn't gotten around to implimenting this feature yet. It vould be especially useful if you want certain people to have a private conference code, but they are doing something else on the system.

That was actually my primary thought for its usefulness, though I was imagining people would be able to find many uses for it. However, just thinking about it, people should have the ability to ignore certain people, or pages in general, as to avoid abuse of the system or just for the reasons we have the ignore feature in general.

This wouldn't be possible unless we somehow took you out of conference, played the message, then returned you to conference. It's an interesting idea though.

awww? so it can't happen? what if you like make it beep or something and when your in the menu you get the message.

I think if I understand how it works, it'd have to pull you out to beep as well. Though it'd be a lot shorter that way. You get pulled out temporarily when you press star and then an option to change volume and such. Bring someone out just long enough to hear a short beep or musical tones, then drop them right back in? OR maybe a comprimise. Have it so people can do a quick keypress to see if they have any pages or messages waiting for them?

Unfortunately we can't add additional conference commands. When you press star you're technically still in the conference.
